Child safety standards
Strangers Meeting Strangers is for adults. These are our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), across the app and the gatherings it brings together.
Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to use Strangers Meeting Strangers, as our Terms of Use require.
What we prohibit
We do not tolerate any content or conduct that sexually exploits or endangers children, including:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind;
- grooming, or any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes;
- sextortion and trafficking;
- any sexualization of minors.
This applies to everything in the app: profiles, photos, voice notes, messages, flyers, and gatherings.
How to report
- In the app: tap the shield on the map, choose Report a safety issue, and tell us what happened.
- By email: smsthecompany@gmail.com.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
- You can also report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
What we do
We review every report. When we find content or conduct that breaks these standards, we remove it and suspend the accounts involved. When we find apparent CSAM, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as US law requires, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
